BLACKBEARD'S
SEAFOOD ISLAND
Ahoy, mate!
Blackbeard's Seafood Island is known
for the freshest seafood, barbeque
favorites and the ultimate in island
cooking. Inspired by the famous pirate,
Blackbeard, who traveled all over
the Atlantic, the Indian and the Pacific
Ocean, he's been to Galapagos Islands,
the Gold Coast, Africa, Europe and
finally, Asia. During his conquest
in Asia, imagine Blackbeard docking
on island after island and taking
their treasures with him. The island
treasures that he takes as booty were
the island's spices and the different
island recipes and cooking techniques.
Soon he got tired of being a pirate
and decided to settle in the Philippines.
Mellowed, he found that he really
enjoyed cooking and became a chef.
His food became so famous that he
decided to put it in one roof, the
Blackbeard's Seafood Island.
So to prove that the legend is true,
let's start with Pica Pica and taste
the crisp Pinoy Nachos generously
topped with mango salsa, cheese sauce
and flavorful adobo sauce. Or try
the Garlic Chicharon Bulaklak with
Sinamak, Balut sa Aligue ala Pobre
(steamed balut simmered in crab fat
sauce garnished with fried garlic)
and the crispy Pinsec Frito.
The choices
on the menu are abundant. Even the
Seafood in Fisherman's Sour Broth,
you can choose the sour broth base
from Miso, Bayabas and Calamansi and
the seafood choice, too - Ulo ng Salmon,
Bangus Belly, Tilapia, white shrimps,
Ulo ng Maya Maya or mixed seafood.
The Seafood Rice selections are full
of flavors - Crab, shrimp, bagoong,
kalkag, adobo, Chicharon and even
three kinds of Paella.
Aye! The Barbeque
and Deep-fried Trippings are marinated
and cooked to perfection with tender,
juicy meat. The Grilled and Seafood
Selection are grilled just right,
with soft meat and flavored with delicious
basting sauce. The crabs, prawns and
lobsters are all cooked in various
island inspired ways.
Then there's
the Blackbeard's Seafood Island's
famous Boodle Feast - taken from the
boodle fight tradition by soldiers,
these boodle feasts comes in nine
sumptuous combination - the favorite
combinations are Dapitan's Pride (crispy
coco gin shrimps, San Mig clams, grilled
tilapia and squid, laing, steamed
crabs, grilled liempo, kalkag rice
and atcharang papaya), Magellan's
Landing (danggit chips with pineapple
salsa, kinilaw na tanguingue, grilled
tilapia, shrimps and squid, steamed
rice, chicken inasal, grilled vegetables,
and bagoong rice) and the All Crab
Boodle (crab maritess, crab fried
rice and shrimp fried rice).
If you can't
get enough of grilled food, try Blackbeard's
Seafood Island Espada Combinations
complete with artistry using real
sword as skewer and set-up like a
bonfire. Choose from All Meat (liempo
and chicken inasal) and Seafood (squid,
tilapia, prawns). Alas! It is recommended
that you refresh your palate after
a rich, sumptuous feast with Fresh
Fruits Platter or if you want something
sweet, Fried Ice Cream.
